This is my personal blog space where you’ll find my attempts at creative writing and occasionally poetry.

I also blog about teaching and education-related issues at SJB Teaching, and together with my husband I run the IAB Tours blog where you’ll find posts about tour guiding in general and suggestions of places to visit, eat and stay around the UK.

    Hi Sally-Jayne
    Just read your stuff on number bonds to 10 – very useful. I have a learner with very weak working memory, and while I liked the idea of the poems, I don’t think he will be able to remember the numbers that go with the rhymes. I’m looking for some stories along the lines of “an octopus with 8 legs met a diver with 2 legs”… Have you ever done anything like that?

      Hi Richard. Thanks for stopping by and reading. I’ve never tried anything myself like your suggestion, but I can imagine that it would work quite well – especially if you get your pupil to help make the story up. I would love to hear how you get on with it.
